Stop by the tasting room to celebrate St. Patrick's Day early this year, Sunday, March 16th, with your favorite people, us! We may not have Guinness or Irish whiskey, but we've got lots of special things in mind for filling the day with good luck, good fun, and good wine. While you're celebrating with us, test your luck and see if you can find the 4-leaf clover hidden on the property for a chance to win a bottle of library wine of your choice! If you're not already seeing green from the clovers, you'll be tasting green in your glass: granny smith apple, gooseberries, and kiwi! That's right, Tristen will be giving free pours of newly released Grüner Veltliner. We'll have free food like Irish stew and festive clover cookies. And to wash it all down, Tori has done it yet again and crafted a lemon & mint pot-of-gold slushie. We hope to see you at the end of the rainbow on March 16th!
For our next Cellar Studies, take a peek behind the curtain with us and explore one of the fundamentals of the winemaking process. We are going to be doing bench trials! For those not familiar with the term, a bench trial is a small-scale test to determine if additions or stylistic changes should be made to wine in large volumes for the final product. For our bench trial, we will be exploring sugar, acid, and other additions to our Pinot Blanc, 2021 Malbec, and a new vintage of Underdog to see what the perfect balance is.
